My experience with BOOKDEPOSITORY !

terça-feira, 23 de junho de 2015
ayo everyone! i'm going to talk about my experience with the amazing website:
at first I had my doubts and questions. I mean, is it safe?
is it true?
is shipping really free?

and yES. IT IS REAL.
let's discuss about my experience.

First of all I want you to know this is not sponsored by any means, I’m just doing a review on my experience with this website as I actually searched a lot before actually buying from it.

Okay so, late May 2015, I order a book at Book Depository.com .
warning: it was on .COM and not in the UK one. I think that one doesn’t even exist anymore but I saw a lot of complaining about both sites, so I thought about clearing that up too.

I ordered the book on May 14th and paid it with Paypal.
(it was my first experience with paypal)

The book was dispatched on the may 18th.

I found it quite fast compared to my local store, plus it was my first order ever there, so I had no idea how fast it would arrive.

Everything was running smooth and, as it says in the website, I was expecting at least 4 business days for it to arrive. (For Europe)

However, it only arrived on the 10th day. I was confused because if I’m from Europe, it should’ve arrived from 4 to 8 business days. It arrived 2 days late, but I was glad it arrived at all.

It was in a very good condition! The package was nice sealed but easy to tear apart.  Here's a few pictures:

so, it was quite a small order, still took a few to arrive.
I was so thrilled i went hardcore and ordered something BIG.
I ordered The Heroes of Olympus boxset.

It took 3 weeks to arrive but oh boy. It was huge!
everything went okay. It arrived in extremely good condition.

Therefore, my experience has been quite fantastic with this website.
I'm loving it to bits! So I would surely recommend it to anyone.

It is a trustworthy website, the only con is how late stuff can arrive.
still, it gets it for the quality!

The Murder Complex { BOOK REVIEW

quinta-feira, 18 de junho de 2015

book synopsis:
An action-packed, blood-soaked, futuristic debut thriller set in a world where the murder rate is higher than the birthrate. For fans of Moira Young’s Dust Lands series, La Femme Nikita, and the movie Hanna.
Meadow Woodson, a fifteen-year-old girl who has been trained by her father to fight, to kill, and to survive in any situation, lives with her family on a houseboat in Florida. The state is controlled by The Murder Complex, an organization that tracks the population with precision.
The plot starts to thicken when Meadow meets Zephyr James, who is—although he doesn’t know it—one of the MC’s programmed assassins. Is their meeting a coincidence? Destiny? Or part of a terrifying strategy? And will Zephyr keep Meadow from discovering the haunting truth about her family?

okay so this book was kind of a deception to me. I have very controversial feelings about this book, and I still don't know if I actually enjoyed it or not.

as a first book, i think it was great! however i felt something was off.
i didn't like the writing that much, plus, the plot got kind of confusing and very ???? in the end ??? i had to reread a LOT. or maybe that's just me being dumb.

there are so many things that i would love to be explained, but unfortunately they did not...

i also didn't get that much of a connection with Meadow. Zephyr, however, i really liked him and i felt him changing over the book.

it was NOT that great but it was also NOT that bad. i'm actually curious and i might even read The Death Code in the future!

 my opinion:
★★★✩✩

Legend by Marie Lu { BOOK REVIEW

terça-feira, 16 de junho de 2015
hello lovelies! so this will be my first post here and we'll talk about this gorgeous book, which i've read on the april 24th.

book synopsis:
What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.

From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths—until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias's death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.

okay so this. this fucking book.
i literally picked it up as a joke. like, seriously.
but damn. damn son.

when i first picked it up, i was expecting some YA usual stuff. but no.
by the first chapters i was captivated and??? when i realized?? i finished the book ???? i was so sAD

i completely fell in love with it. it was beautiful and i enjoyed every single little part of it! as soon as i picked it up, i couldn't let it down.
i felt like this book was different from others dystopians YA i've read. and that, that makes me glad.

my favourite characters? hmm. Day. I loved Day so, sO SO MUCH. ANOTHER FICTIONAL CRUSH TO MY COLLECTION *SCREAM OF AGONY*

although i felt like the romance in it was kind of... weird? i can't wait to pick up the second book!

 my opinion:
